A venerable lighting institution Anglepoise®️ is the quintessence of great British design. The company’s Original 1227™ light was launched in 1935. A pioneering triumph it introduced the brand’s constant spring technology and is widely regarded as the archetypal Anglepoise®️ light.
The outdoor lantern need not always be hung from the pergola structure or a giant tree and they make an equally big impact when simply placed on the ground in a careful and curated fashion.
BIG the multidisciplinary architecture and design consortium founded by Bjarke Ingels presented its Alphabet lamp for Italian lighting giant Artemide at Salone del Mobile 2016. Designed as a modular system of straight and curved components of light Alphabet is an effective solution to the need for well-designed signage and wayfinding in architecture and related disciplines. A veritable “Alphabet of Light” BIG has designed a new font that translates into luminescent words and signs.
